If you choose to redirect to the cart page, you are encouraging the customers to checkout and hence result in a quick conversion. However, if you are choosing not to redirect but keep them on the same page, you are prompting them to continue shopping in your store.

The choice is yours!

In March 2020, 88.05 percent of online shopping orders were abandoned, i.e. not converted into a purchase, according to Statista

If you quickly take them to the cart page, this number can be reduced!

However, the behaviour of the customer and the nature of the business is to be considered before configuring the redirection to the shopping cart page.

Steps to Redirect Customers to Shopping Cart After Adding a Product to Cart in Magento 2:

1. Login to Magento 2 admin panel

2. Navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration

3. Under Sales, select Checkout

4. Expand Shopping Cart section

5. Set Yes in After Adding a Product Redirect to Customers to enable redirection to Shopping Cart.

6. Click Save Config

Magento 2 order ID can be shown in the sales documents like invoice, shipment, or credit memo. The order ID in Magento 2 makes the admin’s order management task easier.

The admin can get invoice data from order ID as well as the order information in Magento 2.

Not only that, but the customers also use order ID to track their orders in Magento 2 store. The extensions like Magento 2 Order Tracking uses only order ID and email address to let customers track their orders.

Hence, it can be quite useful to add order ID in invoice PDF in Magento 2.

Steps to Add Order ID in Invoice PDF in Magento 2:

1. Login to Magento 2 admin panel

2. Go to Stores > Settings > Configuration

3. Under Sales, select PDF Print-outs

4. Expand the Invoice section

5. Set Yes in Display Order ID in Header to enable order ID in invoice PDF.

6. Click Save Config

That’s it.

The admin can also add order ID in other sales documents like shipment and credit memo.

How to Configure Magento 2 Default Page Layout

In Magento 2, the page design mainly consists of layouts, containers, and blocks. The structure of the webpage in Magento 2 is represented by the layout and it can be applied to a page from the admin panel.

The admin can change the Magento 2 product page layout, category layout, as well as the default page layout from the backend.

For each option, the merchants can set within six layouts.

• No layer updates

• Empty

• 1 column

• 2 columns with left bar

• 2 columns with right bar

• 3 columns

The product and category page has No Layer Updates as a default. In the Page Layout, 1 column is set as the default.

Configure Magento 2 default page layout that suits your brand and the theme of the store with steps below:

Steps to Configure Magento 2 Default Page Layout:

1. Login to Magento 2 admin panel

2. Navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration

3. Under General, select Web

4. Expand Default Layouts area

To tackle the refund, Magento 2 allows the merchants to create a credit memo and send a credit memo email, telling customers regarding the refunds.

Furthermore, Magento 2 also allows adding comment text for credit memo comments.

These credit memo comments can be sent to multiple email addresses with the steps to configure credit memo comments in Magento 2.

If you want to inform the details regarding credit memo email, for instance, to the Account Department and Sales Department, you can simply add their email addresses.

Let us understand the steps to configure credit memo comments in Magento 2.

Steps to Configure Credit Memo Comments in Magento 2:

1. Login to Magento 2 admin panel

2. Navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration

3. Under Sales, select Sales Emails

4. Expand Credit Memo Comments section

   1. The default option is set as Enabled that explains the credit memo comments email, the merchants can send to the customers when a refund is asked.

   2. In Credit Memo Comment Email Sender, select the person from whom the credit memo comment email will be sent. The default Magento 2 offers five email addresses.

   3. In Credit Memo Comment Email Template, select the template based on your requirement or select the default option.

   4. In Credit Memo Comment Email Template for Guests, choose the template for customers who have not created an account in your store.

   5. In Send Credit Memo Comment Copy Email To, enter the multiple email addresses to whom you want to send credit memo comment email copy. Separate email addresses with a comma.

   6. Send Credit Memo Comment Copy Email To, select bcc(blind carbon copy) or separate email copy method based on your requirement.

5. Click Save Config
