How to Redirect to Cart Page After Adding Product to Cart in Magento 2

How to Redirect to Cart Page After Adding Product to Cart in Magento 2

The Magento 2 CMS allows the admin to configure the shopping cart page to appear as per the business requirement.

The admin has to decide whether to keep the customer on the same page or redirect to cart page after adding product to cart in Magento 2 store.

If you choose to redirect to the cart page, you are encouraging the customers to checkout and hence result in a quick conversion. However, if you are choosing not to redirect but keep them on the same page, you are prompting them to continue shopping in your store.

The choice is yours!

In March 2020, 88.05 percent of online shopping orders were abandoned, i.e. not converted into a purchase, according to Statista

If you quickly take them to the cart page, this number can be reduced!

However, the behaviour of the customer and the nature of the business is to be considered before configuring the redirection to the shopping cart page.
