The design of an E-commerce store plays an important role in creating a brand impression among a niche audience, enhancing the shopping experience by making it easy for the shoppers to use the store, and convey the brand message correctly.

In Magento 2, the page design mainly consists of layouts, containers, and blocks. The structure of the webpage in Magento 2 is represented by the layout and it can be applied to a page from the admin panel.

The admin can change the Magento 2 product page layout, category layout, as well as the default page layout from the backend.

For each option, the merchants can set within six layouts.

• No layer updates

• Empty

• 1 column

• 2 columns with left bar

• 2 columns with right bar

• 3 columns

The product and category page has No Layer Updates as a default. In the Page Layout, 1 column is set as the default.

Configure Magento 2 default page layout that suits your brand and the theme of the store with steps below:

Steps to Configure Magento 2 Default Page Layout:

1. Login to Magento 2 admin panel

2. Navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration

3. Under General, select Web

4. Expand Default Layouts area

   1. In the Default Product Layout, select the layout option for the product page.

   2. In Default Category Layout, select the layout option for category page

   3. In Default Page Layout, select the layout option for the default page.

5. Click Save Config

The default Magento 2 offers multiple options to configure invoice emails to select the email sender, its template, and add multiple email addresses to send the invoice email copy.

For instance, an invoice email copy has to be sent to the admin, store owner, as well as financial manager along with the customer. The feasible option is to configure invoice emails in Magento 2 in such a way that these settings need not be set for each invoice.

A medium or large store with a larger number of products must leverage the pagination facility for better visibility and ease in browsing the online store.

Instead of displaying numerous products on a single website, Magento 2 offers pagination so that there would be a limited number of products on the page to display and customers can view products easily by accessing pagination control.

Benefits of pagination controls in Magento 2 store:

Without pagination, the Magento 2 store may take more time to load all the products. Pagination control helps reduce loading time because it limits the number of products to display on the web page.

Also, the customers may not prefer to scroll down several times for viewing the products. Therefore, the pagination control is useful to increase the onsite experience as well.

However, you can skip configuring Magento 2 pagination if you offer fewer products only.

Steps to Configure Pagination Controls in Magento 2:

1. Login to Magento 2 admin panel

2. Navigate to Content > Design > Configuration

3. Select your theme and Select Edit under select Action column.

4. Expand Pagination section

   1. ​​​​​​​In Pagination Frame, enter the number of frames that you want to display on the frontend.

   2. In Pagination Frame Skip, leave it default. There is no need to change.

   3. In Anchor Text for Previous, enter the text for showing ‘previous’ on the frontend.

   4. In Anchor Text for Next, enter the text for showing ‘next’ on the frontend.

5. Click Save Config
